Our socks are 80% cotton, 15% nylon% and 5% polyester. The reason for this is that the nylon is necessary to hold the color for the black socks. If the black socks were all cotton they would fade quickly and deteriorate. The nylon also holds the cotton together. When you put socks in the dryer, the majority of the lint you pull out is cotton.

Nylon gives the socks elasticity. The white socks don't need the same blend because they don't need to hold the color but are made the same way to save production costs, and we pass the savings onto you. Black socks actually cost us more to make.
